Which Solar Company should I choose is probably the most common question people will ask if they want to have a solar system installed in their house. Quality and after sales service are foremost to me and so after checking the capability of Philergy, I decided to ask them for the Solar System fitted to my needs. Our average Meralco billing without the solar system for 6 mos from March 2021 was P2.7k with the highest billing of P4.2k in June. I was then advised that I can opt for their 2.5kw solar system. After the installation of the net meter our bill went down to P911.14. Wow that was a 66 % decrease in our electric bill with a 2.5 hp AC being used during daytime. Philergy offered 25 years warranty for their installation, so what more can I asked. The people are very professional, and are always available when I call for assistance during the application for net meter. Philergy is not a fly-night company because other known companies like Ayala and Mitsubishi are stakeholders so I will have no hesitation to recommend Philergy to my friends. Decided to get my Mom's House Solar Panels to save on electricity bills and I decided to get PHILERGY to handle everything from Solar Install, LGU Permitting and Licensing and coordination with Meralco.
The overall experience was excellent and very professional from their sales team to install team and contractors. Solar Panels, Inverter and mounting brackets were or superb quality.
One of the real downsides in getting solar in the Philippines is the LGU and Meralco. Given it took 5 months to get the necessary permits and requirements have panels installed plus net metering it really is bothersome but with PHILERGY it was well worth it. They made sure to update and follow up on requests and made sure that everything was no less than perfect when our system was installed.
I highly recommend PHILERGY for your solar needs.

After much research on solar as a renewable energy source in the Philippines I decided to procure the services of PHILERGY. I decided not to have batteries in my installation because of the limited lifespan due to the intense heat and humidity. Batteries need to be replaced every 5 years - another 250K expense. Also, I was looking for quality and a long warranty. Their solar panels are made in Germany with a 30 year warranty. In addition, the service I received from beginning to end was professional and made the entire process stress free. Ocular inspection and initial visit done efficiently as well. Installation expectation was explained. They were accommodating to our request for a split schedule to install brackets installed first to allow roof repairs. Installation of 8 panels was done at a later date and took 3 hrs.

I definitely had a great experience with PHILERGY as our Solar system provider. I wanted to share some information on our timeline here as well for others' reference:

25 04 21 We advised that we would initially paint our rooftop and that we'd contact them for a schedule afterwards. A separate Philergy rep contacted me via email informing me that our net metering application was submitted
25 04 22-25 Roof was painted; We set up a schedule with them, and the earliest available edate was May 7, 2 weeks away.
25 05 07 PHILERGY Installation

25 05 27 Net Metering down-payment (80%)
25 05 28 Net Metering meter installation by a 3rd party PHILERGY contractor
25 06 20 Net Metering payment of balance (20% + DIMC Letter fee)

All in all, the entire process, from inquiry to net metering installation took ~2.33 months. The only requirements they got from us were for documents that they needed, and signatures on some other requirements. They would conduct most of the communication via Viber / e-mail, with the occasional physical visit from them, in order to facilitate certain processes (signatures, system installation, etc).
For our bill, we were able to reduce our bill during our historical highest consumption month, even though we used more airconditioning, as well as added one more 0.8HP aircon unit. The next month also saw our meralco bill decrease from the previous year by 50-100 kWh even with the additional aircon unit.
With regards to how effective solar is, it definitely isn't as "plug and play" as one might assume. If you only want to reduce your bill, the installation of the system would go a long way towards that purpose. However, if you truly want to bring it down to PHP 0.00, you would need to be conscious of your efforts to reduce your usage as well. You want to ensure that your system's generation would cover all of your energy consumption, as well as have net metering set up to sell excess energy to offset your usage at night / during off-peak hours. I'd suggest that you have this conversation fully with Philergy to manage your expectations well.
While PHILERGY was pricier than its competitors, we still went with them due to the higher quality equipment they used, as well as the much shorter net metering timeline compared with others across the market. If you'll check the Google reviews, majority of them mentioned a ~2 month timeline, while there are horror stories of those using othe providers going 6-12 months, or even more, without it! Having it early also allows you to jumpstart your journey to a zero bill sooner.
I would definitely recommend PHILERGY if you are looking into installing Solar for your home.
